Mr. Wright’s passion for healthcare began with a variety of experiences at healthcare facilities in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. It was this early exposure that inspired Mr. Wright to pursue a career in healthcare administration, focusing on the development and implementation of strategies designed to improve the delivery and expand the scope of primary and specialty care services.

Mr. Wright earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Anthropology and Human Biology from Emory University in 2009. He went on to earn a Master of Healthcare Administration degree in Health Policy and Management from The Gillings School of Global Health at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2011. Mr. Wright transitioned from the administrative fellow role to joining the management team of Meharry Medical Group—the multispecialty physician practice at Meharry Medical College—as the Assistant Director of Operations. His responsibilities focused on managing the central business functions of the medical group, including revenue cycle, patient access and medical records departments.

Following his tenure at Meharry Medical College, Mr. Wright has gone on to lead operations for ambulatory and hospital-based clinical services at a variety of institutions in Houston, Georgia and the DC/Baltimore Region. In 2014, Mr. Wright left academic medicine to pursue an opportunity as a Practice Manager with Hospital Corporation of America Physician Services Group in their Houston, Texas market. In this role, he managed the daily operations of several specialty practices, including Cardiology and Radiation Oncology. Mr. Wright successfully led his practices through the adoption of an EHR system for clinical documentation and billing. He also guided his physicians through policy changes to prepare for compliance with the upgraded ICD-10 regulations that went in effect Fall 2015.

In 2017, Mr. Wright transitioned to DaVita Healthcare Partners, Inc. as a Facility Administrator to run dialysis operations in Northwest Houston. In this role, he led the daily business functions of multiple units that provide life-saving treatment to patients with end-stage renal disease and limited renal function. He then transitioned to Southwest Georgia to run surgical and specialty ambulatory care services at Emory-St. Francis Hospital. In 2020, Mr. Wright decided to return to his DMV roots to join MedStar Health as the Administrator for clinical and business operations for MedStar Medical Group Anesthesia (MMGA) in the Baltimore Region.
