Kettering (Ohio) Health reported an internet outage on Sept. 23, prompting several of its hospitals to divert stroke care.
The outage began around 7:35 a.m. and is believed to be the result of an internal IT issue, the health system said in a statement on its website.
Kettering Health said it is using its standard downtime procedures. Phone systems remain operational, but several internet-reliant applications — including the patient portal MyChart — are unavailable.
Emergency departments at the following hospitals are currently diverting stroke care:
Kettering Health Hamilton
Kettering Health Greene Memorial
Kettering Health Huber
Kettering Health Middletown
Kettering Health Preble
Kettering Health Springfield
Kettering Health Franklin
The health system said updates will be shared as more information becomes available.
