Nashville, Tenn.-based Ardent Health is rolling out Ambience Healthcare’s AI platform across its ambulatory network.

The platform aims to reduce clinician burnout and improve care quality by generating compliant, coding-aware documentation in real time. Ardent Chief Medical Officer FJ Campbell, MD, said the system helps providers focus on patients instead of typing into the EHR, according to a Sept. 17 news release.

The expansion follows a pilot rollout involving 17 specialties and seven languages, wherein 90% of clinicians used the platform consistently. Ardent reported a 45% decrease in documentation time and a five-hour weekly time savings per clinician.

Among pilot participants, 70% reported reduced cognitive load and 100% said the platform improved job satisfaction. More than 140,000 patient encounters have been documented using the AI system to date.

Ardent plans to expand the AI technology to additional clinical settings, including its emergency departments and inpatient units.
