Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City is deploying Abridge’s AI platform across its enterprise to streamline clinical documentation and improve care outcomes.
The health system will implement Abridge’s platform to support clinicians with real-time documentation, improve communication and enhance the overall patient experience, according to a July 24 news release.
Abridge’s ambient AI technology automatically detects the care setting, specialty and language of a clinician-patient interaction to generate real-time documentation. The platform supports more than 55 specialties and 28 languages and operates across outpatient, inpatient and emergency settings.
The collaboration also aims to enhance orthopedic documentation — including improved capture of surgical details, imaging, laterality and treatment options — to create clearer records, improve coding accuracy and increase workflow efficiency, according to the release.
