Utah leads Medscape’s list of the top 10 telemedicine-friendly states.
The list, published May 23, examined six telehealth metrics across states, including Medicaid reimbursement, remote patient monitoring and chronic care management, cross-state licensing, state compacts, practice areas (including behavioral health), and statewide technological capabilities and broadband access.
Medscape said Utah stood out due to the across-state-line reform it passed last year. The online platform noted that providers in the state can get approved to practice telehealth in 15 days, unless there’s a violation.
