Phylicia Cross, MPH is a Quality Performance Consultant for AmeriHealth Caritas District of Columbia, and currently serves on the board of NAHSE’s Washington Metropolitan Area chapter as treasurer.

In her current role at AmeriHealth Caritas DC, she is responsible for facilitating the development, implementation, and monitoring of initiatives that improve the quality of care provided to the health plan’s members. This involves analyzing data trends, responding to member dissatisfactions, and collaborating with multiple departments in order to accomplish goals. In addition, she is the chair of the Culturally and Linguistically Appropriate Services committee that, along with its committee members, evaluates quality improvement metrics by member’s race, ethnicity, and language to identify new methods, initiatives, and programs to improve their quality of care. She also leads the health plan’s accreditation readiness and submission activities.

Cross earned a Master of Public Health in healthcare management from West Chester University of Pennsylvania, and a Bachelor of Science in Public Health from Temple University.
