Dr. Jeronica Goodwin is a seasoned healthcare human resources and operations professional with more than twenty years of experience. Dr. Goodwin has experience working in both large and mid-size hospitals and healthcare organizations. She is currently the Vice President of Employee Experience and Engagement overseeing all human capital functions for Unity Health Care, Inc. in Washington, DC. Before that, she held various executive-level roles in human resources at the Dimock Community Health Center in Massachusetts, Providence Hospital, Suburban Hospital, member of Johns Hopkins Medicine, and several other organizations. 

 Dr. Goodwin is a frequent presenter at national conferences speaking about healthcare and human resources related topics. She also participates in dissertations and doctoral

advisory committees. In addition to her work as a full-time executive, she occasionally teaches healthcare and human resources subjects as an adjunct professor or guest lecturer.

 She received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Saint Augustine’s University, a Master of Science in Human Resources Administration from Central Michigan University and a Doctor of Health Administration from Central Michigan University. Dr. Goodwin is a former Fellow with The Washington Center for Internships and Fellowships in Washington, DC, where she spent time working for an appointed Cabinet member of the Clinton Administration. She has completed brief academic studies in Belize, Central America, and Geneva, Switzerland, at the World Health Organization and International Office of the Red Cross researching international healthcare systems and outcomes.

 In her spare time, she enjoys volunteering at various organizations around the community and traveling internationally. She is a former board member for My Girlfriend’s House, Inc., regularly volunteers at Food and Friends in Washington, DC, and is an active member of the Psi Epsilon Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.in Bowie, Maryland.   

 She is an active member of the Washington Metropolitan Chapter of NAHSE (National Association of Health Services Executives), the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE), and the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM). She is the founder of the Raleigh/Triangle Chapter of the National Association of African Americans in Human Resources (NAAAHR).
